About Bassic ft. Distinkt & WA-FU
Brighton’s Distinkt is rapidly building a well-deserved reputation within the UK Bass scene. The young producer blew up in 2017 with standout track ‘Chinatown’ and follow up ‘Slim Shady’, which have racked up over 2 million cumulative plays on SoundCloud. His ‘Brands’ EP was released via Chris Lorenzo’s Bass Mentality imprint. Other heavy-hitting supporters include Holy Goof, My Nu Leng and Rudimental, who asked Distinkt to produce an official remix of their track ‘Sun Comes Up’. We can’t wait to see some of the new flavours he brings to BASSIC.
In the last twelve months, WA-FU has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. It makes perfect sense to define him as Australia’s response to the rising powerhouse that is UK Bass. WA-FU’s unique sound can be defined as a fusion heavily influenced by Bassline and Garage, tearing through speakers with its raw energy and power, guaranteed to get any crowd moving to its heaving basslines.
